How To Customize Products at Zazzle
When you click on any item at Zazzle, the window will open as shown below (example). You
can change the default text on any Halloween invitation from the "Edit This Design Template" area by changing the text in the text boxes to your own text. All changes you make will show in the invitation in the preview area. Please note there may be some text fields you will want to leave the way they are but you have the option of using your own text if you so choose. There may be a "more" blue link under the text fields, if there is click it, it means there are more text fields.
ALWAYS PREVIEW THE BACK OF YOUR INVITATION
Some invitations or products do not have a back, but some do, and some have text information on the back, so please preview it as shown below to make sure it is just how you want it to be. Always proof your products!
ADDITIONAL PRODUCT OPTIONS
Some products have additional options, as with invitations shown below, you can scroll down under the text fields and see the paper types and printing options. With stickers you can order matte (non-shiny) or glossy, and each product can have different options or sizes, so always scroll down and check!
SELECTING THE QUANTITY AND ADDING TO YOUR SHOPPING CART
Once you have everything the way you want, select the quantity from the drop down arrow. With invitations you can print just one if you like or change it to how many you want. Some products may have a minimum order, for example, labels have a minimum quantity of 5 sheets, but it will say right there. This is also where discounts are shown, and there are some great discounts if you are purchasing a quanitity of an item. Also, check the coupons! On checkout if you have a coupon code, use it to get the extra savings!!!!!
WORKING WITH PHOTOS
Some products allow you to upload your photos, and because everyone's photos are different sizes and unique, you will find that more than likely you have to adjust the photo. This is actually fairly easy, but if you have any problems or it is not coming out how you wish, PLEASE contact me and I will be MORE THAN HAPPY to help you, just give me 24 hours to reply!
TIPS FOR GETTING THE BEST RESULTS
GO AHEAD, TEST THE TEMPLATES, SEE WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE!
You can see what any product would look like with your information on it, and you really can't do any harm by testing the template. As long as you don't add a product to your cart (you can always remove it from your shopping cart) you can try and retry products or edits until you are happy.
INPUTTING TEXT IN TEXT FIELDS
A lot of times there will be a need to S P A C E C A P S in a template, for my designs I always try to indicate when to do this, but this is just bascially putting a space between each cap and two spaces between words. Use your judgement, if something doesn't look right, PLEASE contact me! A lot of times templates need to be adjusted, sometimes folks have longer or shorter names or text information, and usually we can just adjust the font to accommodate, so if you run into this issue, PLEASE contact me, I want you to have the best looking items possible.
LEAVING TEXT FIELDS BLANK
If you run across an item that you don't want to put information on, you can leave a text field blank (an example would be additional information on the back of an invitation). Blank text fields will not print, just make sure it's blank.
PHOTO RESOLUTION
The higher the quality photo resolution you upload the better the picture will be...best images are from a digital camera set with a decent resolution (300 dpi is wonderful). If for some reason you get an error message and Zazzle won't let you move forward after you upload a photo, the reason is probably the photo resolution. Zazzle is pretty good about letting you know when a photo just won't cut it. If you should have any problems, please let me know.
